To pierce or NOT pierce

Since I found out I was preggo with a girl I been excited to get her ears pierced.  As most of you know I research everything.  After she was born I began researching and  talking to her doctor. It is then I discovered controversy "brutal"some say, "unnecessary,  and risky". My mom and dad had my ears done early and I don't remember a thing. After much thought we decided to do it here's why.

1. It should only hurt for a minute or so

2. The boys had a much worse procedure done that to is unnecessary and much more risky. ( but would thank us later)

3. She would mess with them less at this age as she would at an older age.

4. these things are part of our culture and this makes us US.  Most girls/women have ears pierced.  I actually don't know one lady that doesn't.

*** I decided to get another ear piercing so I can get one with her. This moment became a mother/daughter moment.  We have matching earrings***

I love you my baby Brittain. You handled it amazingly. By the way cried less then 30sec

Here she is this am

Me and my beautiful daughter!

God knew what I needed. Love you !

That time of the year

Its that time of year again, baseball season. Spring training is up in full swing, I have yet to go to game but planning next week. Tim has gone with the boys.

Blake has officially started practicing for the 2014 Little League season. As always there's excitement and craziness.

Chase just ended his first season of playing tball with NYS. That was funny the first two games then it was just frustrating.

Oh Brittain is still sweet as ever. Getting around. She doesnt officially crawl but she tuns and pushes off basically she gets what she wants.

Brittain's 1st Victoria Secret pink pants

Must of you know I LOVE Victoria Secret. My buddy made these for Brittain so cute.

Things are changing.

Little changes are happening in the Miller household the last few days.
Blake has now learned to tie his shoes! We learned in 3 steps.
Chase is turning the corner for potty training. (I think) As most of you know Chase started on his own Father's Day and since  has had many set backs. When Brittains was born, then the seat pinched his leg (refused to sit on seat) and recently found him and Blake watching you tube where the lego guy peed himself and it was funny so naturally Chase did the same. I since have made you tube officially not allowed in the Miller house.
(There's more then just this incidence) Well the last few days Chase has made it to the toilet, and for both 1 and 2. I'm hoping this is the end of our potty training journey.

Brittain is rolling and scooting across the floor. She is also beginning solids.  So far she's eaten rice, oatmeal and bananas.
My babies... and their little milestones. :)

Tonights been a little rough

Tonight was a little rough. Blake started to fall asleep but then sat up crying. They did a "lockdown drill". Although I am happy about them practicing what they need to do I can't help but feel a little mad. My mom insticts are this

Why should my son even have to practice this? This crazy world that's why.

Why didn't the school announce "hey we will practice lockdown " at a unannounced time? This way  I can talk to Blake and explain. (Those of you who know Blake understand how his mind works knows he will put the reasons together on his own and stress)

Why do have they practice "lockdown" last month too?

Why is his f@#$ ing teacher sitting at her desk on computer instead of where these little first graders are? (During lockdown drill)

My thoughts right now I HATE THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!!

Look at him peacefully sleeping now.... him and his brother so cute. Chase ask for Blake first thing in morning. Blake ask if Chase can go wherever he goes. Stay best buds you two, Love eachother, be there for eachother.
