Monday will be 6 years!

6 years ago in Cabo San Lucas Tim and I made it official and were married on the beautiful beaches. It seems so long ago yet not if that makes any sense.

I can say I honestly feel very lucky. Marriage is not always easy. Tim knows me well enough to know exactly how to irritate me, he knows exactly what to say in the most silent moments, and he knows me. With that said in this marriage I can not hide my feelings its no longer an option. Those days that Im not having a good day and just don't feel lovey dove he picks up on it by merely a single 1 minute phone conversation despite my best attempt to hide my bad mood. There is only one other person that can do that with me and that is my dad.

And this coming February we will celebrate again being a couple for 9 years that is so crazy....Right?
Together we have both have worked for amazing careers and made a family together. Im excited to see what amazing other things we do together as a team.

We have fought more then ever in the last year but oddly feel closer and happier then ever....hummm I wonder why that is??

Happy Anniversary BABE!!!

Dreamy white kitchen !!

So since we bought the house I have been wanting to redo the kitchen. I have waffled between white or dark expresso cabinets. I need a contrast from the floors the kitchen dosent get much light so dark cabinets would just make the kitchen darker so white it is! We have started the long process. We have a ton of ideas but doing 1 step at a time clean, sand, prime, paint and maybe another sand. This is a picture of just prime you can see we still have a long way. Its a ton of fun though! I love it. With just the white prime the kitchen already feels bigger and now lights are too bright. We may need to switch to soft lighting to soften it up. We will see

Brittain is turning 1 tomorrow at 4:27

My baby girl is turning 1 tomorrow at exactly 4:27. She loves to eat especially Oreos mint is actually her favorite.  She weighs 21 pounds and is only at 28 inchs. Ha! She has 4 teeth barely got her top 2 teeth and she has 2 more coming in ! Her mouth have been busy the last few weeks. She has also started walking. She walks short distances until she hits to crawl. She still nurses (thank god) our bonding time. She absolutely loves music and dances to whatever is playing on tv or sometimes give her phone with Pandora playing. :) I love you so much! You have brought so much hope, healing and love into my life. I pray we stay best friends. Love you, Brittain Kinsley Miller! Stay amazing!

Getting back to the Millers

Some how lately it seems that I have been lost, a little. How often do you allow others to question your family culture? I don't even know if people know they are doing it right? Friends or family influence us to look at the differences not that they are bad or good but simply different. So how are we going back to being the Millers???

Doing things as a family- although can be difficult and sometimes impossible looking back at each crazy  adventure (even going to Target with a group of 5) its actually memorable and funny.

Making stuff on our own- My aunt always said since I was a little girl "you have expensive taste" and truth is I do. But money and wants don't always match. So Started a number of little projects for the house and for Brittain's  birthday

Enjoying the kids- Lately I have felt pressured to work more really not sure why or where from but I felt guilty for working more and stressed when I work less. so why change it???? Im staying working where its flexible.

Education- I know Im particular about this some even Tim think a little nuts... But honestly education is key (most of the time). The kids can become self efficient without it but what about all the other benefits to education??? Socially, esteem, respect and endurance? I learned so much going to college and not just nursing stuff. I learned how to think long term, critically thinking and the meaning of not giving up. So I have applied to UOA.... for masters of nursing. Tim and I have finally sat down and agreed to a school for the kids. It was lengthy and paper was involved :)

Don't you just love this picture of the kids??? I know its funny right. the boys being good then there's Brittain picking her nose or at least pretending to.

did I mention Brittain is starting to walk. She takes a few steps on her own before she hits bottom. So sad

Lately

Lately, I been focused on being me. I have noticed somewhere along the way I have worrying, comparing, and hesitant.  Worrying about school for the kids, moving, career, and cars. I been so focused on the future and some big decisions coming up that have to be made instead of just doing the stuff I love like playing with the kids, creating and learning.  So started on Brittain's birthday. Tim and I made the tough decisions today and concluded on them.

Kids are great. Blake is loving summer break. Asking if I can jist home school him? Chase is being loving and practicing baseball all the time. Brittain is standing on her own thinking of walking.  Here are some and not so fabulous pictures.

Today Brittain is 11 months old

Today Brittain is officially 11 months old. My baby girl turns 1 next month! Can you believe it? She is amazing. She only has 2 lower teeth, she stands on her own, walks with toys or chairs, she loves music and dancing, and loves food. This picture was taken yesterday the 4th in her bathing suit. The other one she was eating craham crackers. Love you baby girl.
